Fazenda Reforestation
What is...
About this Project
Background
n Brazil, degraded lands from overuse and unsustainable cattle farming practices contribute to environmental degradation and biodiversity loss. This not only diminishes the land's natural carbon sequestration capabilities but also erodes the habitat for local wildlife and diminishes the ecological balance.
Project Outcome
The Fazenda São Paulo Afforestation Project aims to transform these degraded lands through reforestation, enhancing carbon sequestration and fostering biodiversity. By converting low-productivity cattle ranches into thriving forested areas, the project not only combats climate change but also provides a habitat for numerous species and employment opportunities for local communities, driving environmental, social, and economic benefits.
