💡To Note:

The carbon markets were initially set-up during the formation of the Kyoto Protocol, largely to give carbon dioxide a value.
There are different types of carbon market: some relate to compliance and 'carbon taxing', whilst others relate to voluntary purchasing of carbon reduction or removal.
