A term used to indicate that the carbon emissions output of a product/company/service is zero or 'neutral'.

Usually, at least part of these emissions have been compensated for via carbon offsetting.

This term can be sometimes be 'marketing-driven' and not verified in detail
Auditing should be done towards key global standards such as ISO 14068
