Bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) is a process that combines bioenergy production (burning biomass such as crops or wood for energy) with carbon capture and storage technology.

Because the plants absorb CO₂ as they grow, and that CO₂ is then captured and stored rather than released during combustion, BECCS can achieve net-negative emissions. Like DAC, it is considered a durable, long-lived removal.
