Blue Hydrogen
Noun
Hydrogen produced from natural gas or methane using a process called steam reforming. It produces CO2 as a byproduct of the process. For blue hydrogen, this CO2 is captured rather than being released into the atmosphere in a process called carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS).
💡To Note:
Other types of hydrogen include green hydrogen, grey hydrogen and black and brown hydrogen.
